This is a one off SeaWolf Delay finished in drab olive green over Pelham blue nitrocellulose lacquer with military artwork.
The enclosure has been layered in Pelham blue and then oversprayed in drab olive nitro, allowing subtle undertones to show through at the edges and contours. The result is depth rather than brightness. The finish feels purposeful rather than decorative.
The military artwork sits naturally against the colour scheme. Restrained. Direct. In keeping with the character of the build.
Inside, the SeaWolf is built around a PT2399 based delay architecture and hand wired on veroboard. No factory PCB. No surface mount assembly. Layout is deliberate and serviceable.
Mullard Tropical Fish capacitors are used within the signal path alongside carefully selected vintage components. The intention is to keep the repeats rounded and natural, avoiding brittle top end or artificial sheen.

The added volume control allows the output to rise beyond unity. Used lightly it balances the delay against the dry signal. Used more assertively it can act as a lead lift, pushing the front of the amplifier while the delay remains supportive.
Every SeaWolf Delay is built by hand in the UK by Joe Halliday. This finish and artwork combination will not be repeated in exactly this form.
Description of Sound
The SeaWolf Delay is designed to sit behind your tone rather than dominate it.
The repeats are clear but not sharp. They decay in a way that feels integrated with the amplifier rather than layered on top. Chords retain definition. Single notes remain forward.
At lower mix settings it provides space without obvious echo. Increase the repeats and the trail becomes more pronounced while still controlled.
The PT2399 architecture gives the repeats a slightly softened character that feels organic rather than clinical.
By adjusting the repeats and delay controls together, controlled oscillation can be achieved. It can be encouraged into swelling feedback textures without harsh spikes.
With the volume control raised, the pedal can gently push the amplifier, making it useful as both ambience and lift within a live setting.
It supports the rig rather than redefining it.
